⚠️ BUILD NOTES FOR JUAN — remove this block before publishing
The name might be wrong
You said "Mellie's." Every public record says "Meli's" (Yelp, Yahoo Local, the LLC filing, the Facebook handle melisalterations). I built it as Meli's. You know them — confirm the spelling before this goes anywhere. It appears in the title tag, the header, the hero, the footer and the schema.
Why there are no words yet
Your rule: "copy ban from everything, only BNSN going forward" — headlines, body, button labels, meta title, meta description, alt text. And BNSN prompts need your approval before I send them. So every persuasive line is a marked slot. The design, layout, code and tools are finished; the sentences are not mine to write.
What IS real on this page (verified 2026-08-28)
- Address — 5512 W 13400 S, Herriman, UT 84096
- Phone — (801) 878-9752
- Hours — Mon–Fri 10–6, Sat 10–3, Sun closed
- Service categories — their own listing wording: custom tailoring, alterations, garment repairs
- Facebook page exists
- Neighbouring businesses in the plaza
What I need before this can go live — I will not invent any of it
- Correct spelling of the business name
- Owner's first name (for the About section)
- How many years they've been open — the listing says "several years", which is useless
- The real, full service list — and do they do bridal / formalwear / leather?
- Typical turnaround time
- Do they want prices shown? If yes, the actual prices
- 3–6 photos: the shop front, the workspace, finished work
- An email address, if they have one
- Languages spoken — I did not assume this from the name
What works right now, with no server and no monthly fee
- Live OPEN / CLOSED badge — computed in Utah time from their real hours, and it tells you when they next open
- Today's row highlights automatically in the hours table
- Tap to call — sticky bar, always reachable
- One-tap directions — opens their maps app
- Quote builder — customer taps their garment and service, and it writes the text message to the shop for them. No form, no backend, nothing to break. Falls back to copy-to-clipboard on desktop.
BNSN briefs — drafted, NOT sent (needs your approval first)
- Hero headline — 4–8 words. Local tailoring, Herriman. Must carry "fits right" / craftsmanship. No superlatives they can't back up with reviews.
- Hero tagline — 12–20 words. Who they serve and the feeling of a garment that finally fits.
- 3 service descriptions — 18–28 words each. Concrete garments and jobs, not adjectives.
- About paragraph — 45–70 words. Family-run, real hands, the owner's name once. Needs the facts above first.
- Trust line above the quote tool — 10–15 words. Lowers the friction of texting a stranger.
- Meta title (≤60 ch) + meta description (150–160 ch) — must contain "alterations" and "Herriman".
- Button labels ×4 and alt text for every photo once photos exist.
Still yours to do
- Deploying is RED — I built the file, you publish it.
- Buy or point a domain. Their Google listing and Facebook both need the URL added afterwards.
- Bigger win than this site: they have one visible review. Getting them to 20 real Google reviews will out-earn any website. Worth raising with them.
